Il est vrai que cette r\u00e9gion poss\u00e8de huit villes class\u00e9es au Patrimoine mondial de l&rsquo;UNESCO : Ragusa, Caltagiron, Militello in Val Catania, Modica, Scicli, Noto, Palazzo Acreide et&#8230; Syracuse ! Elles furent en partie, voire compl\u00e8tement d\u00e9truites, lors du tremblement de terre de 1693 et reconstruites dans un style baroque. <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center has-white-color has-text-color has-background has-large-font-size\" style=\"background-color:#04a40f\"><strong>De Piazza Armerina \u00e0 Mazzarrone<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Nous quittons notre camping au fin fond de la campagne pour gagner le village de  Mirabella. Un peu \u00ab\u00a0paumatoire\u00a0\u00bb le parcours. Sur la tr\u00e8s agr\u00e9able piazza Municipio, nous d\u00e9couvrons la \u00ab\u00a0granite\u00a0\u00bb dans une brioche, original ! La suite, pour changer, encha\u00eenera mont\u00e9es et descentes sous un soleil de plomb (heureusement qu&rsquo;en v\u00e9lo, il y a toujours un peu d&rsquo;air !) Jadis c&rsquo;\u00e9tait une forteresse arabe. Arabes et Byzantins lui donn\u00e8rent sa puissance. Ce sont eux qui contr\u00f4lent, m\u00eame apr\u00e8s la conqu\u00eate normande, l&rsquo;artisanat de la c\u00e9ramique en apportant la technique du vernissage. Caltagirone est, en effet, une capitale de la c\u00e9ramique. On en trouve partout, sur les murs, les \u00e9glises, les \u00e9difices publics&#8230; Malgr\u00e9 les tremblements de terre de 1535 et 1693 qui d\u00e9truisirent une grande partie des monuments, la ville haute a conserv\u00e9 son aspect m\u00e9di\u00e9val. Nous nous en apercevons vite et retrouvons la route de Ragusa. Nous y b\u00e9n\u00e9ficions de tr\u00e8s belles vues sur cette partie de la ville. <\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p> A pied, c&rsquo;est par la scalinata, un escalier de 250 marches, que l&rsquo;on peut relier les deux parties de cette ville. Entre la chaleur, les v\u00e9los charg\u00e9s et les rues pentues, c&rsquo;est une visite qui se m\u00e9rite mais c&rsquo;est superbe, tant les monuments que le site ! Malheureusement, nous arrivons trop tard \u00e0 la cath\u00e9drale qui est ferm\u00e9e comme beaucoup d&rsquo;\u00e9glises en Sicile en d\u00e9but d&rsquo;apr\u00e8s-midi. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Nous rallions ensuite la ville de Modica. La ville se compose de deux parties : Modica Alta et Modica Bassa. A l&rsquo;arriv\u00e9e, un camping o\u00f9 nous b\u00e9n\u00e9ficions d&rsquo;un sanitaire particulier : WC, lavabo, douche froide, coin vaisselle, \u00e9clairage et \u00e9lectricit\u00e9 ! C&rsquo;est une ville en deux parties : Ragusa Superiore et Ragusa Ibla. Cette derni\u00e8re \u00e9tait tr\u00e8s prosp\u00e8re jusqu&rsquo;au tremblement de terre de 1693 qui y fit 5 000 morts ! Les habitants s&rsquo;install\u00e8rent alors dans  la vall\u00e9e. Mais en 1902, une inondation d\u00e9vastatrice ravagea le c\u0153ur de la cit\u00e9. On recouvrit alors les lits des deux torrents. Nous la quittons assez vite pour nous diriger vers la tr\u00e8s belle ville de Noto tr\u00e8s, tr\u00e8s touristique ! Apr\u00e8s la destruction du \u00ab\u00a0premier\u00a0\u00bb Noto en 1693, un nouveau site fut choisi. De Floridia \u00e0 Syracuse, c&rsquo;est une entr\u00e9e de ville et \u00e0 Syracuse, c&rsquo;est une circulation d&rsquo;enfer ! La route qui nous conduit \u00e0 Sortino monte bien, il y fait tr\u00e8s chaud et nous sommes juste en eau. Heureusement, Laure r\u00e9cup\u00e8re de l&rsquo;eau fra\u00eeche aupr\u00e8s d&rsquo;ouvriers, deux litres d&rsquo;eau qui nous \u00e9viteront d&rsquo;arriver \u00e0 Sortino trop dess\u00e9ch\u00e9s ! <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A Sortino, nous apprenons que le camping pr\u00e9vu pour ce soir n&rsquo;existe plus.
