C&rsquo;est le premier Geoparc au monde reconnu par l&rsquo;UNESCO. Il a servi de mod\u00e8le \u00e0 la cr\u00e9ation de 140 UNESCO Geoparc pr\u00e9sents sur les cinq continents.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Apr\u00e8s la Clue de Barles, les villages de Barles et de Verdaches, nous retrouvons la grande route et passons le col du Maure apr\u00e8s une douce mont\u00e9e. L&rsquo;\u00e9tablissement du plan d&rsquo;eau n\u00e9cessite le d\u00e9placement de plus de mille personnes et la destruction de plus de 400&nbsp;b\u00e2timents. Nous y prenons un caf\u00e9 et rencontrons plusieurs personnes tr\u00e8s int\u00e9ress\u00e9es par notre voyage : les v\u00e9los charg\u00e9s attirent toujours la curiosit\u00e9.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Beaucoup de v\u00e9los de route sillonnent les cols de la r\u00e9gion, cols mythiques s&rsquo;il en est : Vars, La Cayolle, Allos, Larche, Saint-Jean, Pontis, Parpaillon et bien s\u00fbr le col de la Bonette donn\u00e9 comme plus haute route d&rsquo;Europe \u00e0 2800 m. Il s&rsquo;\u00e9tend sur 700&nbsp;m\u00e8tres de d\u00e9nivel\u00e9, entre le fond de la vall\u00e9e (o\u00f9 il y avait de grands casernements et les gares de deux monte-charges) \u00e0 1&nbsp;290&nbsp;m\u00e8tres et le plus haut fort, \u00e0 la \u00ab&nbsp;Serre-de-l&rsquo;Aut&nbsp;\u00bb \u00e0 2&nbsp;008&nbsp;m\u00e8tres.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Nous passerons la nuit au camping de Saint-Paul, agr\u00e9ablement situ\u00e9 sur les rives de l&rsquo;Ubaye, dans un cadre bien pr\u00e9serv\u00e9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-buttons is-layout-flex wp-block-buttons-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-button aligncenter has-custom-width wp-block-button__width-50\"><a class=\"wp-block-button__link has-background\" href=\"https:\/\/photos.google.com\/share\/AF1QipNcE03B9-HyZDq6YQfjFEGuvbGK_DqaZKql3S0lVX8QIGlRhzAbXHCYo1GQU2JiYw\/photo\/AF1QipP9C-4-YieDYJFTHqC8A1qhffNNnD4erme9pRql?key=dThpV3FOZFpHSGlPX1YtZmZxRFJ0a1lCcXdRNzVR\" style=\"background-color:#0173a3\">Album photos de Digne \u00e0 Saint-Paul en Ubaye<\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center has-white-color has-text-color has-background has-larger-font-size\" style=\"background-color:#05b710\"><strong>De Saint-Paul en Ubaye au Col Agnel<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Un gros morceau en ce d\u00e9but de journ\u00e9e : le col de Vars qui culmine \u00e0 2108 m. Il a \u00e9t\u00e9 ouvert en 1890. Seul le sommet est un peu d\u00e9natur\u00e9 par le parking.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Un peu plus bas, nous prendrons un caf\u00e9 au refuge Napol\u00e9on. Nos v\u00e9los attireront encore des gens int\u00e9ress\u00e9s par notre p\u00e9riple. Ce sont pour nous des moments de rencontres tr\u00e8s agr\u00e9ables.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-accent-background-color has-background\"> Ces refuges, au nombre de six ont \u00e9t\u00e9 ordonn\u00e9s par Napol\u00e9on Ier en remerciement \u00e0 la population lors de son retour de l&rsquo;\u00eele d&rsquo;Elbe. Ils ont \u00e9t\u00e9 construits sous Napol\u00e9on III au milieu du XIX\u00e8me si\u00e8cle. Longue pause \u00e0 la fontaine du village !<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Apr\u00e8s quelques tergiversations, nous d\u00e9cidons de monter jusqu&rsquo;\u00e0 Pierre Grosse sur la route du col Agnel o\u00f9 se trouve le camping de Chanterane. Ce sera toujours une partie de la mont\u00e9e au col Agnel de faite !<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Alors, apr\u00e8s la longue pause, ce sera une longue mont\u00e9e de seulement 5,5 km mais \u00e0 7,5 % de moyenne. C&rsquo;est un tr\u00e8s grand col, \u00e0 la fronti\u00e8re entre la France et l&rsquo;Italie, le deuxi\u00e8me col routier fran\u00e7ais apr\u00e8s l&rsquo;Iseran. Nous montons dans des paysages splendides sous un soleil radieux.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Mais c&rsquo;est une mont\u00e9e difficile. Les pourcentages, surtout sur les derniers kilom\u00e8tres, sont cons\u00e9quents. De plus, les lacets, si plaisants sur de fortes mont\u00e9es, sont rares et \u00ab\u00a0\u00e7a tire\u00a0\u00bb dans les jambes.
