En Fait 10 km \u00e0 10 % de moyenne ! Nous croisons de tr\u00e8s nombreux cyclistes qui montent plus ou moins \u00ab\u00a0lentement\u00a0\u00bb ! Superbement r\u00e9nov\u00e9 et entretenu, c&rsquo;est magnifique. Mais revers de la m\u00e9daille, il y a beaucoup de monde m\u00eame si cela ne se voit pas sur la photo !<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-accent-background-color has-background\">Chianale, situ\u00e9 \u00e0 1800 m d&rsquo;altitude dans le Val Varaita, est travers\u00e9 par la rivi\u00e8re \u00e9ponyme. On retrouve mention du hameau d\u00e8s le XII\u00e8me si\u00e8cle. Le Val Varaita entre le col Agnel et Castel Delphino appartiendra d&rsquo;abord au Saint Empire Romain Germanique puis d\u00e9pendra du royaume de France jusqu&rsquo;en 1713 avant de devenir possession pi\u00e9montaise sur laquelle r\u00e8gne la Maison de Savoie. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La vall\u00e9e continue mais la pente est beaucoup moins raide. Depuis le col Agnel, c&rsquo;est quand m\u00eame 69 km de descente, un vrai bonheur. Les villages se succ\u00e8dent. Certains \u00ab\u00a0m\u00e9ritent un d\u00e9tour\u00a0\u00bb notamment Castel Delphino, Venasca, Sampeyre&#8230;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>L&rsquo;\u00e9tape du lendemain se d\u00e9roule dans la plaine du P\u00f4, fleuve que nous traverserons pas moins de trois fois ! Nous grimpons m\u00eame un petit col (Sella la Reza). Mais la plaine reprend vite ses droits et nous retrouvons les champs de ma\u00efs.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Jusqu&rsquo;\u00e0 maintenant, l&rsquo;\u00e9tat des routes \u00e9tait plus que d\u00e9plorable et bien souvent il est impossible de rester sur la droite de la voie ce qui nous oblige \u00e0 des \u00e9carts dangereux ! Mais la fin du parcours concoct\u00e9 par Laure nous emm\u00e8ne sur des rev\u00eatement plus roulants. Gassino et la petite ville de Chivasso, bien r\u00e9nov\u00e9s, sont incontournables La cath\u00e9drale de Chivasso m\u00e9rite que l&rsquo;on s&rsquo;y attarde un peu.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Nous arrivons \u00e0 Ivrea aux portes du Val d&rsquo;Aoste. Ivrea est une ancienne colonie romaine mais la ville existait bien avant. Elle fut le si\u00e8ge du marquisat d&rsquo;Ivr\u00e9e \u00e0 l&rsquo;\u00e9poque franque. A partir du XVII\u00e8me si\u00e8cle, elle fut souvent prise par les arm\u00e9es fran\u00e7aises et deviendra m\u00eame la pr\u00e9fecture du d\u00e9partement de la Doire en 1802 et sera finalement redonn\u00e9e au Pi\u00e9mont apr\u00e8s l&rsquo;abdication de Napol\u00e9on en 1814.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ivrea est le berceau de la soci\u00e9t\u00e9 Olivetti. La cit\u00e9 industrielle est inscrit au patrimoine mondial de l&rsquo;UNESCO depuis 2018.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Nous voici dans le val d&rsquo;Aoste. En effet la&nbsp;Vall\u00e9e d&rsquo;Aoste&nbsp;\u00e9tait un passage oblig\u00e9 pour la travers\u00e9e des Alpes. Au&nbsp;Moyen \u00c2ge, il fut administr\u00e9 par les seigneurs de Pont-Saint-Martin. Une partie de cette route est conserv\u00e9e notamment avec un arc et une pierre militaire qui indiquait la distance d&rsquo;Aoste. On remarque aussi dans la pierre les traces des roues de chars.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Le Val d&rsquo;Aoste a un pass\u00e9 historique d&rsquo;une \u00e9tonnante richesse. Sa particularit\u00e9 r\u00e9side dans sa forme cubique parfaite.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Des fouilles dans le village de Saint Vincent ont permis de mettre \u00e0 jour les vestiges d&rsquo;anciens thermes datant de la fin du II\u00e8me si\u00e8cle. Le village poss\u00e8de actuellement un \u00e9tablissement thermal qui attire de nombreux curistes.
